Try a Bit is run by Georgia Worth, a qualified Equine Dental Technician and previously professional Dressage Rider. Georgia started Try a Bit after helping many horses and riders achieve an improved contact after a dental treatment but found they were still struggling with contact issues in regard to their comfort and acceptance of the bit.Â
After a couple of years of lending and recommending bits to her clients with great results she decided to make the bit fitting and lending service more widely available to everyone, and so Try a Bit started. Try a Bit is a way for you as a rider to have confidence in the bitting choices made for your horse. With over 20 years riding experience and many years as an Equine Dental Technician, our service looks at your horse holistically. We check for dental issues, correctly assess your horses mouth conformation and have the riding experience to understand your struggles as a rider as well as taking in to account your horses age and issues they may be having outside of the bit.Â
Our goal is to allow your horse to have complete comfort with their bit, allowing you as a rider to then focus on schooling your horse with the confidence of knowing that they are not experiencing discomfort.
Testimonials
Highly recommend Georgia ! Had a bit fitting session last night and she spent a long time trying to find a bit suitable for my sensitive gelding! At no point did I feel rushed with her time or pressured to settle on a bit. She has extensive knowledge with the bits/horses mouths and we walked away happy with a bit that he goes lovely in now 🙂

My tb I tried 9 different bits on her and she put her tongue over all of them or bunched her tongue up behind! I messaged Try A Bit with the issues I was having and they suggested a bomber happy tongue which has a port for the tongue to sit under relieving all tongue pressure. I trialled it and she has never stuck her tongue over the bit again!

I highly Recommend Georgia, super service, she really takes her time to make sure both rider and horse are happy with the bit choice....... Really nice friendly lady that did not judge me for riding in a bit t out at was Waaaay to big for my horse 🤣
