Bomber Waterford - Loose Ring
The Waterford bit has many smooth flexible bumps or bubbles, which spreads the pressure over many points making it a light mouthpiece. The greater flexibility discourages a horse from leaning on it. The Waterford bit is a good choice for a horse that leans; it also promotes mouthing and salivation. The Waterford is usually worn 5mm longer/larger than your traditional mouthpiece in order to curl around the lips and maximise the effect.
The Loose Ring allows for immediate release and relief from tongue and bar pressure which will reset the bit in the horses mouth.
All our bits are made from blue sweet iron, because it:
- oxidises easily
- encourages salivation
- helps bit acceptance
- Is warm and sweet
Please note the blue will fade with use.
