Trust Elliptical- Pony Eggbutt
The Trust Pony Sweet Iron Elliptical Eggbutt Snaffle has a double-jointed mouthpiece with an ergonomically shaped central lozenge.
It has been specially designed to fit pony mouths comfortably, with a 12mm diameter mouthpiece and rings that measure 6cm from outside to outside.
The sweet iron is designed to rust when it comes into contact with humidity; this surface rust tastes sweet and naturally stimulates the horse’s saliva production, encouraging soft acceptance of the bit.
This oxidisation process changes the blue colour of the Trust bit to a brownish-grey.
If a sweet iron bit is not used for a while, an orange-brown rust layer may develop on the mouthpiece. Simply remove this by wiping the bit with a damp cloth.
