Trust Inno Sense Flexi Soft Swale
The Swales is a mix between a double bridle and Pelham. It has the effect of a double bridle but is less complicated. With this cheekpiece, it is best to ride with two reins. Both the bridle cheekpiece and one of the two reins are attached to the large loose ring. This creates the bradoon effect. The second rein is placed on the lower loose ring creating the Weymouth effect. The greater the leverage effect, the bigger the impact.
The Swales bit has the effect of a curb and bradoon combination, but is less complicated to use. It can be ridden with two reins: one rein on the normal ring for a soft contact and the other rein on the lower ring for curb-like leverage. The Swales features loose rings for attaching the cheekpieces, which means rein pressure affects only the lower jaw. The baby Swales has short shanks, giving it a milder action than the regular Swales. The Swales is used (and supplied) in combination with a curb chain.
The Inno Sense Flexi Soft bits are made from elastic synthetic material and are very flexible, making the bit extremely gentle. Despite the flexibility, an Inno Sense Flexi Soft bit is very solid due to its flexible stainless-steel core.
Bits from the Inno Sense collection can be used for all horses but are especially suitable for young horses and horses with sensitive mouths. The Inno Sense material contains no plasticizers and is therefore not harmful to the horse’s health. Horses ridden with an Inno Sense mouthpiece follow the hand easily and accept the bit quickly. The Inno Sense Flexi Soft is less suitable for very strong horses.
